Crawfish was great and service was fast. I think we are about 15lbs between me and my youngest daughter. My oldest daughter had the blackened chicken tacos which she enjoyed.

I've been waiting to try the new menu, courtesy of the joining forces with the Cajun Market from Colleyville. New Orleans style Debris Roast Beef Poboys are few and far between in DFW. This one delivers on the major points (Great Bread, Sloppy Gravy & Roast, and dressed with Mayo, lettuce, tomato, and pickle). Fried Okra was not like mom and grandma made it in Louisiana but was fresh, hot, and crispy.

This week kicks off Mardi Gras and we just happened to pass this place on our way home from picking up a king cake- was a little too kismet! Love the atmosphere, love the menu choices, love the prices, love that they have raw oysters. Love love love. The restroom was clean- the bartender/waitress was absolutely perfect. She was informative and helpful and honest and attentive but not overly so (we were her only table so I'm grateful she didn't hover). I look forward to going back later in the day or evening sometime and checking out the vibe at that point. Seems right up my alley. I got a hurricane and had to get it on ice because they didn't have frozen going yet. Ordered gator and crawfish étouffée. The gator is a great size and the dip with it is good, but the batter was pretty dang plain- I even threw salt on it. My entree was delicious. Veered a little into the too salty lane, but it's hard to chill out a roux base sometimes. It is what it is. The portion was fantastic- we both had our leftovers for dinner. My boyfriend got the Cajun pasta and we had to ask for more Cajun seasoning - the chicken wasn't blackened and seemed...rubbery- and the pasta dish was white as a ghost. Didn't show any indication of being cajunized. The bartender brought out the seasoning and offered chili flakes as well- but he was fine with just the seasoning. Said it fixed the problem aside from the chicken. And the bread. Dear God the bread. I think it was from 1998. I don't think I've ever left bread behind in my life and we both left it. Couldn't even put myself through it by using it as a vessel to scoop up some étouffée. Whew. I will 100% go back and check out oysters and crawfish and crab and the frozen hurricane, etc. I really do think it has the potential to be a fun place for us to go hang out when I need to soothe my Louisiana craving.

Love this place! Have been coming here over a year now for their AYCE $25 crawfish specials on Saturday/Sunday. Sometimes they're busy so have to have some patience when it comes to actual service (drinks and other items on the menu excluding the crawfish) but the managers/cooks are great and crawfish just gets better and better after each batch.

When Crawfish are in Season we become regulars. The restaurant has a nice outside patio that has a big door that opens to the bar so for the 3 weeks of nice Spring weather it is nice to site outside. The seems to be a strong contingent of locals at the bar. The service is usually pretty great and one waiter got to know us and would just bring us our beverages without even having to ask. They don't yell "Norm" when you walk in but fun the staff takes the time to get to know you. We have a had luck finding the fresh crawfish here when other restaurants run out. Sometime we get a few dead bugs in the mix but a solid crawfish. The boudin balls are good as well as the gumbo. I'm not a huge fan of catfish but the fish and chips aren't bad. I have had the key lime cheesecake a couple of times and is pretty good. The only issue is it has the taste of the fridge every time and just makes it ok. They really need to seal the key lime pie instead of having it just sit open in the fridge. Only complaint i have so stopped ordering it. Great local place and great staff so give it a try. .
